How to Place a Preorder using PayPal and PayPal Pay Later

1. Add Items to Your Cart

Browse as you normally would and add your preorder items to your shopping cart.

2. Review Your Cart

Click the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner of the screen. A preview will

appear showing your selected items.

To see everything in your cart, click “View Cart.”

3. Proceed to Checkout

Once you’ve reviewed your items, click “Proceed to Checkout.”

4. Enter Shipping Information

Fill in your shipping details, then click “Continue to Payment.”

5. Choose Your Payment Method

On the payment screen, you’ll have two options:

• Credit Card Billing
• Additional Payment Methods (select this option if you’d like to use PayPal)

6. Finalize Your Order

Confirm your billing information and review the terms and conditions. Then click “Place Order.”

7. Order Confirmation

After placing your order, you’ll be taken to a confirmation page where you can:

Click “Print Receipt” to print your order details
Click your order number (shown in red) to view your order

You’ll also receive an order confirmation email sent to the email address you provided at checkout.

Next Steps: Completing Payment When Your Preorder Arrives

• When your preorder arrives and is ready to ship, we’ll send you an email with a secure link to complete your payment.
• This email will include a payment due date. If payment is not received by that date, your preorder will be canceled, and the items will be made available to the general public.

To Complete Your Payment:

Option 1: Pay from the Email

Click the secure payment link provided in your email.

Option 2: Pay Through Your Account

1. Log in to your ScaleTrains account

2. Click “My Preorders”

3. Find the preorder that has arrived

4. Click “Pay for Order”

On the payment screen, you’ll see:

• Shipping and billing addresses
• Items ordered
• Shipping method
• Order totals
• Fields for order notes, coupon codes, and gift cards
  Available payment methods

Using PayPal or PayPal Pay Later:

• Select PayPal (including Pay Later options) as your payment method
• A prompt will appear, allowing you to choose Pay Later
• You’ll then be directed to your PayPal account

If you don’t already have a PayPal account, you can create one at PayPal.com.

Depending on your eligibility, PayPal may offer:

• Pay in full
• Pay in 4 interest-free payments (no late fees; terms apply)
• Monthly financing options (terms apply)

Once you select your preferred option and complete the steps in PayPal, you’ll be redirected back to our website to confirm your order.
